Youth Initiative Canada in partnership with local artists is pleased to invite all Vancouver and surrounding area communities to attend a World AIDS Day Concert. The event will occur on Sunday November 29th 2009, starting at noon and finishing at 6pm. The World AIDS Day Concert, “Jamin Local and Impacting Global” which will be held at 920 East Hastings Vancouver BC. The aim of this event is multifold: to unite different Vancouver communities through Music and the Arts; increase HIVAIDS and related issue awareness in Vancouver, and also to support Youth Initiative Canada Projects in Kenya.
Confirmed artists are as follows: Ndidi Cascade and Deana Teeple; Heat wave; Linx (Fade to Black); Scruffmouth; Discreet Da chosen 1; Speeches Beyond; Kurai Blessings (Mbira/Marimba); Dj Jeffries (maumau); Dj Roy Abel; Show and Pounz. More Artists and performers will be announced soon
The World AIDS Day Concert (Vancouver) “JAMIN’ LOCAL AND IMPACTING GLOBAL” intends to create awareness on issues surrounding HIV/AIDS both locally and globally.
