Helping the people of Gambia is the mission of the GambiaHELP 10th Anniversary Celebration and Auction, scheduled for Saturday, November 7th, 2009, 6:00 pm—10:00 pm at the Women’s University Club, 1105 6th Ave Seattle, WA 98101. The event is designed to raise funds for the African country of Gambia. Attendees can enjoy a Gambian Dinner and a performance from Sankofa, a mellifluous, eclectic African American women’s vocal group. For more information on the 10th Anniversary Celebration, go tohttp://www.gambiahelp.org/auction-2009.html The GambiaHelp program will feature silent and live auctions and a chance to bid on a trip to Africa with GambiaHELP. Funds raised will be committed to sustainable projects, women’s group support, libraries, school supplies health & clinic Supplies, and bed nets for Malaria prevention. Cost is $90 per person. $75 early bird before October 20, 2009.
