The question is, why is the value of our citizenship being so undermined and it seems that the only purpose for our citizenship is to perhaps boast a travel document that allows us to travel to anywhere in the world? There is such a distinct lack of interest in being active in community or federal service.

Honoré Gbédze vient d’être reconnu pour ses talents d’entrepreneur. En effet, il vient de recevoir ce vendredi 18 Novembre 2011, le prix Nesika 2011, pour son travail exceptionel à la direction du Journal The Afro News (TAN). Ce prix décerné par le gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique, honore et célebre la diversité culturelle et les communautés issues des première nation de la province.

Season the chicken breasts with lemon salt and grill it. Cut the lemon in half and place on grill for a minute. In separate bowl squeeze the juice from the lemon and mix with the olive oil, add parsley to this mixture. Toss the green salad and sliced fruit. Pour the oil and lemon dressing over the salad and toss lightly.

Cut the zucchini’s, peppers, eggplant in half and remove the seeds, peel the carrot and place all on hot grill with the mushrooms and palm hearts. Julienne the vegetables and cut the palm heart into rounds. Place all ingredients in salad bowl.

Marinate the lamb shanks overnight by mixing the fresh herbs, mustard, garlic and ginger, pour the white wine over top of the lamb and let rest in the fridge overnight if possible

Invited guests gathered to honour both the roots of The Afro News and to mark the First Annual Sage Awards at the Hilton Hotel at Metrotown on January 28, 2011. The agenda included a reception where 70 members of the community hand the opportunity to mingle and also to meet the honourees.

Season the fish with salt and pepper. Spread the ginger and few drops of olive on top of the fish, wrap the fish inside the lettuce leaves.
Cut the eggplant, tomatoes, shallots, into medium cubes, place in double boiler pot and bring to boil, add the garlic, and thinly sliced cayenne pepper
