During this New Year’s weekend, three old Zvishavane, Midlands, women were reportedly dragged to a village “kangaroo” court accused of being witches. A hired witch-sniffer or “prophet” accused them of being partly responsible for the deaths of other villagers!
Why? The old women had lived to such a ripe old age because, the witch-sniffer told the gathering, “they fed on human flesh”. Read the full story

HIV & AIDS in the Black Canadian population Recent statistics have indicated that HIV is at a crisis level in black communities in Canada. Black people are seen to be over-represented in the new HIV infections and AIDS cases. If one should put this into perspective with regard to immigration to Canada, it could be reasoned that the greater proportion of immigration applications to be affected by the inadmissible clause rests largely with the Black population. Zimbabwe is witnessing a steady increase in incidences of cancer within its population partly due to an increase in HIV related cancers which are gradually dominating the scene says Health and Child Welfare Minister Dr. Henry Madzorera.
