Honoré Gbedze There is an old African adage that says ‘people are your most important asset in the real world’ but my Great Grandfather whispered to me in my early years that ‘people’ are not your most important asset, the ‘right people’ are your most important asset. Using this analogy how do you determine and find the ‘right people’? Seeing situations in full play reminds us that life is not just about pretty things it is about challenge that has no boundaries and this is reality. Do you think you have the ‘right people’ that can answer to your situation or idea and how to act and make the best of yourself? There will never be a prompt answer. It is how well you apply yourself in this conglomerated community with trust and humble dedication and believing in your principal act. It’s all about the right discipline of action regarding your situation; don’t sell off your best people search for it if you don’t have it they are there if you are willing to find them. Every new day brings us a challenge and perhaps even one problem it’s how you approach it and with the right mind that will help you face the challenge or problem. Every day you have the whole world in front of you filled with much potential; it’s how well you are prepared to manage your way through. There is one hope I dream to see for the community and that is that there are no boundaries that separate us. Never in history do we need to work more in unity to advance and make the best of time for our society. As we continue to learn from the past we must all do our part to do better to advance our humanity and to represent our time. May we remain united for the best for our countries and give hope for our next generations. For our readership, subscribers and supporters we thank you for your continuous trust. Deidré Heim Life as we know it does not always leave us feeling happy and thankful. All of us experience challenges during the course of our lifetime that perhaps dampens our spirit or have to face those challenges that affects us physically. However; despite the challenges that we face on a daily basis, we must be thankful for the experience in order that we can work and overcome the struggles that we are dealt in order that we may become a stronger and better person and be a support to others who may be experiencing a similar challenge. Today our task as human beings, community members and citizens is no different than the tasks of our forefathers and mothers, teachers and leaders which were and are to come together in unity as a global nation and to foster peace and equal prosperity amongst all mankind. This task will remain in force for the next generations to come but will become more difficult to endure if the greed for self deception increases in our society. This month as we celebrate Black History we pay special tribute to all those who made an impact in their lifetime for the betterment of our life today. Their legacies are still our source of power today whereby we can have freedom of voice to express our plights, opinions, objectives and solutions. We have been heard and continue to be heard and change has taken place and will continue to take place. ‘Lets have faith that right makes might; and in that faith let us, to the end, dare to do our duty as we understand it’ – Abraham Lincoln
